Studio TV
In a real TV studio, students take part in a unique speaking exercise: producing their own news programme, based either on a specific theme or a current news story.
Working in groups, they discover the different roles involved in television production, get hands-on with technical equipment and develop their critical thinking skills to better understand how news is produced and the challenges facing today’s media.
The news programme can be prepared in class before the visit.
The TV Studio can be used as:
- an active media education tool, through prior analysis and a behind-the-scenes look at how a TV news programme is produced;
- a tool for developing speaking, summarising and communication skills;
- an opportunity to practise a foreign language, in Dutch or English.
